General Terms and Conditions

1 Introductory Provisions

1.1 These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “GTC”) govern the provision of accommodation, catering, conference, team-building, and other ancillary services at the Marina Liptov Resort, a.s. (hereinafter referred to as “operator” or “resort”) and apply to all reservations, orders, and contractual relationships between the client/customer (hereinafter referred to as “client”) and the operator.

1.2 The client is entitled to use the services of the resort only if they agree to the GTC. It is recommended that the client familiarizes themselves with the GTC before making a reservation or order. When using the services repeatedly, the client is obliged to review the current version of the GTC each time. The operator reserves the right to unilaterally amend these GTC, with changes becoming effective on the day of their publication on the resort’s website.

1.3 If the client does not agree with the provisions of the GTC, the resort asks that they do not use the services. By confirming a reservation or order, the client unconditionally agrees to the GTC.

1.4 By using the resort’s services, the client declares that they have reached the minimum age of 18 and are legally capable of acquiring rights and assuming obligations in their own name.

2 Service Reservations

2.1 Accommodation Reservations

2.1.1 The client can search for available accommodation and book a stay via the resort’s website, email, or telephone.

2.1.2 When making a reservation, the client must provide all required information, including name, contact details, number of persons, check-in and check-out dates, room type, and additional services.

2.1.3 For reservations of 1–2 persons in a villa, one room will be blocked for operational reasons.

2.1.4 If the client brings a pet, the applicable fee according to the current price list will be charged.

2.1.5 The reservation becomes binding after the payment for the stay is credited to the operator’s account or upon receipt of a confirmed advance payment.

2.2 Corporate and Other Event Reservations

2.2.1 An event (corporate or otherwise) is considered confirmed when the client sends a signed and stamped order to the resort and the resort confirms it in writing.

2.2.2 The order must include:
a) Specification of the ordered services, date, and number of participants.
b) Specification of services to be provided by the resort.
c) Complete billing information, including Company ID, Tax ID, VAT ID, bank name, and account number.
d) Official company stamp, date of signature, and signature of the responsible person.

3 Payment Terms

3.1 The client is obliged to pay for accommodation or ordered services according to the current resort price list.

3.2 The resort reserves the right to require an advance payment of 50% or 100% of the service price. The reservation becomes binding only after the advance payment is credited to the resort’s account.

3.3 A final invoice will be issued after the completion of the stay or event, with a 14-day payment term. The total price is based on the actual services used, including applicable VAT.

3.4 If the advance invoice is not paid, the resort reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

4 Changes or Cancellations – Cancellation Fees

4.1 Accommodation

4.1.1 The client may cancel a reservation in writing, electronically, or by telephone.

4.1.2 Cancellation fees for accommodation are:

    • More than 14 days before arrival: no charge
    • 13–6 days before arrival: 50% of the accommodation price
    • 0–5 days before arrival: 100% of the accommodation price

4.1.3 In case of no-show, the cancellation fee is 100% of the booked services.

4.2 Corporate and Family Events

4.2.1 Cancellation fees for events are:

    • More than 60 days before the event: 30% of the price of ordered services
    • 59–30 days before the event: 50%
    • 29–20 days before the event: 70%
    • 19–0 days before the event: 100%

4.2.2 The resort reserves the right to adjust prices beyond the original order according to current availability.

4.3 Cancellation Due to Adverse Weather

4.3.1 Demonstrably adverse weather is defined as extreme meteorological conditions that endanger health or significantly limit outdoor activities.

4.3.2 The resort does not charge cancellation fees for outdoor team-building organized directly by the resort without subcontractors.

4.3.3 The resort reserves the right to charge cancellation fees for catering:

    • Up to 3 days before the event: no charge
    • After 3 days: 50% of the catering/food services price

5 Special Provisions

5.1 Check-in: from 15:00, Check-out: until 10:00.

5.2 Special requests (baby cot, late check-in/out) can be arranged with the resort reception.

5.3 Discounts for children:

    • 0–3 years: 100% discount, without entitlement to bed or extra bed

5.4 The resort reserves the right to adjust age categories or the amount of discount provided.

6 Promotional Stays

6.1 The resort may offer promotional stays (last minute, first minute). The number of rooms reserved for promotional stays is limited.

6.2 For promotional stays, special terms and conditions apply and take precedence over the GTC. The GTC applies only to the aspects not specifically addressed in the special terms.

7 Data Protection

7.1 The operator processes client personal data in accordance with Act No. 122/2013 Coll. and other applicable legal regulations.

7.2 Data is processed for the purpose of reservation and service provision for a maximum of 2 years from collection.

7.3 The client may give consent to the processing of personal data for marketing purposes. Scope: name, email, mobile, address.

7.4 The operator ensures encryption and protection of data and does not sell personal data to third parties without the client’s consent.

7.5 The client has the right to request information, correction, or deletion of personal data.

7.6 The operator allows access to data via remote access while ensuring data security.

8 Final Provisions

8.1 The GTC and relationships arising from them are governed by the legal system of the Slovak Republic.

8.2 Invalidity of any provision does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

8.3 By confirming a reservation or order, the client agrees to the GTC and undertakes to comply with them.

8.4 The operator reserves the right to change the GTC, and publication on the website is considered effective notice.

8.5 These GTC become effective on 17.11.2025.
